Maintenance Technician – Ethanol

About the Role:
An ethanol production facility near Le Mars is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support daily plant operations by performing mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting. This is a hands-on role in a 24/7 industrial setting with a strong focus on reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, and rotating equipment
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist in plant turnarounds
• Work from blueprints, manuals, and maintenance schedules
• Collaborate with other technicians, operations, and engineering staff
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Follow all plant safety protocols and contribute to a safety-first culture

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to call-outs as needed

Preferred but Not Required:

• Welding and fabrication experience
• Experience in ethanol, chemical, or food production environments
• Technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance or a related trade
